The Apostles` Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day, He rose again; He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. From there, He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

【[First Mystery] The Annunciation

When Mary received the announcement from God that she would be the mother of the Savior, she responded, "I am the servant of the Lord. Let it be done to me according to thy word." By offering this series of words, let us pray through the intercession of the Virgin Mary that we may respond with faith to God's call.

【Second Mystery】The Visitation

Mary visits Elizabeth, and the two are filled with the Holy Spirit and praise God for His miraculous work. Let us offer this mystery to celebrate the coming of salvation and pray for the intercession of the Virgin Mary to create a joyful heart.

【First Mystery】The Agony of Jesus in the Garden

In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus, despite his struggles, decides to obey the Father's will to the end.

【Second Mystery】The Scourging at the Pillar

Jesus was unjustly tried, scourged, and betrayed by Peter. As we offer up this mystery, let us remember Jesus' mercy on Peter and ask through the intercession of the Virgin Mary for the grace to rise from our sins.

【Third Mystery】Jesus is crowned with thorns

Jesus is sentenced to death, mocked by the soldiers, and crowned with thorns: by offering these scenes, let us ask, through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, to help us live our faith without fear of misunderstanding or insult.

【Fourth Mystery】Jesus carried the Cross

The Lord Jesus carried his cross and marched to the hill of Golgotha amid the mockery of the crowd. By offering this mystery, let us pray through the intercession of the Virgin Mary that we too may carry our own crosses and follow the Lord every day.

【Fifth Mystery】The Crucifixion of our Lord

The Lord Jesus, crucified, fulfilled the will of the Father and took his last breath. Let us offer this passage and ask through the intercession of the Virgin Mary that the grace of salvation may be given to all people.

【First Mystery】The Resurrection

Jesus overcame death, rose again, and gives us new life. By offering this mystery, let us ask, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, that we may die with him and share in his resurrection.

【Second Mystery】The Ascension

The resurrected Lord Jesus was taken up into heaven in the presence of his disciples and sat at the right hand of the Father. By offering this mystery, let us pray through the intercession of the Virgin Mary that we may live as witnesses to the resurrection of the Lord.

【Third Mystery】The Descent of the Holy Spirit

As the Lord promised, the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles who were praying with Mary. We offer this mystery and pray through the intercession of the Virgin Mary that we may be filled with the Holy Spirit and always be courageous in proclaiming the Gospel of salvation.

【Fourth Mystery】The Assumption

God has raised up Mary, the mother of his Son, body and soul to the glory of heaven. Let us offer this mystery, and ask, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, that we too may seek the kingdom of heaven and enter into eternal joy.

【Fifth Mystery】The Coronation of Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth

Mary, who was elevated to the glory of heaven, became the mother of all who share in the salvation of Christ. Let us offer this mystery and pray through the intercession of the Virgin Mary that all those who seek salvation may be led to her Son, Jesus.

【Fisrt Mystery】The Baptism in the Jordan River

When Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River, the Holy Spirit descended and he heard the voice of the Father say, "You are my beloved Son." By offering this mystery, let us thank God for the grace of baptism and ask through the intercession of the Virgin Mary that we may be guided by the Holy Spirit and live as children of God.

【Second Mystery】The Wedding at Cana

In response to the intercession of his mother Mary, Jesus turned water into wine at the wedding feast in Cana, opening the hearts of his disciples to faith. Let us pray through the intercession of the Virgin Mary that by offering this series of events, we may deepen our faith in Jesus.

【Third Mystery】The Proclamation of the Kingdom

Jesus announced the coming of the Kingdom of God, called people to conversion, and demonstrated God's mercy. By offering this mystery, let us pray through the intercession of the Virgin Mary that we may respond to Jesus' invitation, repent sincerely, and believe in the Gospel.

【Fourth Mystery】The Transfiguration

Jesus appeared in glory to the three disciples on Mount Tabor and showed them a ray of hope to overcome difficulties. Let us offer this Mystery and ask through the intercession of the Virgin Mary that we may remember the transfiguration of the Lord in our hearts and listen to and obey Jesus.

【Fifth Mystery】The Institution of the Eucharist

At the Last Supper, Jesus instituted the sacrament of the Eucharist using bread and wine as the sacrifice of salvation and the food of eternal life, leaving us a memorial of his love for humanity. By offering this Mystery, let us pray through the intercession of the Virgin Mary that we may imitate the love of Jesus, who gave himself up for us every day.

Prayer for the Intercession of St. Martin de Porres, our Patron

(Feast Day (November 3)/ November/December/January)

Saint Martin de Porres, intercede for us. Your life on earth has inspired us and has lifted our hearts calm confidence and devotion. Continue to extend to us your concern and your gentle and humble heart to unlimited and active service to all levels of society. Pour out to us and all members of our family your intercession so that with proper motivation we can also show to people of all races and colors the way of unity and the path to justice. Intercede for us so that we may have we may have authentic concern and care for our sick brothers and sisters. With the graces and virtues increased, we can also be loving, forgiving and merciful with one another. To Jesus, through you and through our Blessed Mother. Amen.

Saint Martin, you are happy in your belief, and your faith was so lively that you longed for the glory of God and the salvation of men. Intercede for me that my faith may be strengthened so that I may keep the firm promises to Christ and to the Holy Church, and that I may be given firm strength in times of so many dangers and doubts concerning my faith. I pray also that my family may always obey the commandments of Christ, and that we may be gathered together again in the Father's house. Amen.

Saint Martin, you were a living example of penance and sacrifice. Inspire us to control our emotions and motivate us to perform our daily duties with the same inspiration. Inspire us to willingly and courageously bear our own cross daily making the Sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross more meaningful in our daily lives. May our sufferings and human troubles be instruments to perfection and goodness, so that the grace we receive may increase and be able to reach out to, and assist our neighbors. Amen.

Lord, source of perfection and beauty, may our hearts be continually and powerfully inflamed with love for you, through charity, which is the bond and foundation of all perfection. And to you, dear Saint Martin, pray for us that our charity may increase, and that it may be expressed in our observance of the Ten Commandments and our devotion to the Church. Ignite in our hearts a great devotion and piety to Jesus present in the Sacrament of the Eucharist. Inspire us to come closer to the Virgin Mary, and to her holiness, so that the expressions of our faith and religiosity may be rightly directed. Amen.

Lord, in these times of hatred and conflict, inflame the hearts of Christians with the charity and kindness that consumed the spirit of St. Martin. To you beloved St. Martin, good and compassionate, turn to us with your everlasting piety and come to our aid through your intercession. Inspire us that we may be generous to our oppressed neighbors and friends, and reach-out with full of love to all who draw near to us, and to others far from us, in prayers. Amen.

Lord, You have shown us to establish principles of true justice and peace among men. You have given to us our patron Saint Martin as patron of social justice. May we, too, be able to act in planting Your Love and Peace on earth just like what Saint Martin did. To you St. Martin, inspire all nations to follow the spirit of the Gospel and, with the cooperation of all, bring about a true spiritual and social renewal. We are aware of how little we are able to live by your example and service in banishing egoism, the desire for fame, profit and power. May you, as in your time, have tender care for the sick, the poor and those suffering from injustice, ignite our hearts through your benevolent initiatives. May all those who ask for your intercession experience your miraculous healing and tender care. Amen.
