This month`s major point for reflection especially centers on the summary of the enormous and very special intervention of God into our lives within our entire relationship with Him. It is always during our celebration of the Feast of the Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and upon the Church as a whole that we culminate our yearly commemoration of the Paschal Mystery (the passion, death and resurrection), and Jesus` Ascension.
May we continue to find with deep understanding in our daily living, and even within our motivations, desires and hopes the centrality of the mystery of Christ, and of our faith in Christ who is Risen. Through the historical Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and upon His (Jesus`) Church as a whole, and through the Holy Spirit`s intervention and inspiration in a daily basis, may we understand from the heart of the reality of the ongoing presence of Jesus touching, molding, and purifying our lives each day.
May the same Holy Spirit move us to an authentic faith sharing of the peace and joy in the ongoing presence of Jesus. Let us continue to possess this peace and joy in order for each one to be agents of reconciliation and unity.
Our God the Father of mercies has reconciled us all with Him through the death and resurrection of Jesus. Through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, we too, with and for the rest of our brothers and sisters become worthy agents of Christ` peace and reconciliation.
May our celebration of the Feast of the Descent of the Holy Spirit encourage us to be willing agents of healing wounds and all forms of division.
We also understand the Holy Spirit as giver of gifts, of anything that enables us to become messengers of Christ`s compassion and peace. With the abundance of the spiritual gifts we receive from the Holy Spirit, and with the radiance these spiritual gifts bring about, we become charismatic just as the way the Church is, and therefore we become instruments to bring others closer to Christ.
Believing on the power and presence of the Holy Spirit in the Church, and amongst us, let us continue to ask, as a community, all the Saints in heaven, (our Patrons and Patronesses) who are full of charism(s), to walk with us for the realization of an authentic charismatic Church.
