June 15, 2025・Feast of the Most Holy Trinity (Trinity Sunday) C

Proverbs 8.22-31・Psalm 8.4+5,6+7・ Romans 5.1-5;・John 16.12-15

We begin our reflection today about the Wisdom of God. The Wisdom of God is basically shown in our belief that God is one being in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each person of the Most Holy Trinity is fully God. It is indeed very important to fathom/comprehend even just a part of God`s Wisdom in it, and therefore have a deeper understanding of God`s nature. The Most Holy Trinity further tells us about how God interacts with all of us from the very beginning. The Bible teaches about the Mystery of the Holy Trinity, and the Church interprets the Trinitarian dimension of our Faith for us.

With the different aspects of God`s love shown in the Trinitarian dimension of our faith, we can at the same time find our connection with Him in many and different ways. God our Father communicates through creation. He continues to create wonderful things we have to discover yet with the good and with seemingly unfavorable experiences we encounter each day. The Lord our Savior summons us to repent and turn to God always, and be more compassionate and forgiving.

Our Gospel reading today continues to tell us about the Spirit of Truth. This Spirit of Truth, historically, has been the Guide of the Apostles of Christ in filling-in many limitations in their understanding of all the Ways of Christ. Forming a Christian community, guiding all members to grow deeper in faith, and bringing more people to the faith have always been through the guidance of the Spirit of Truth.

It is the same Spirit of Truth that we live as one Church at present. It is through the Holy Spirit that all graces flow in our Church` life. May attending the Holy Mass today, participating in some sorts of community prayer meetings and even in some simple talks and acquaintance with others bring us to acknowledgment of today`s invitation to continue to live in love and constant communication with others just as our Feast today intends to impart us.
